KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rajendra Prasad Lingden has requested the MPs to elect CPN-UML lawmaker Devraj Ghimire as the Speaker.

Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he asked all the MPs to elect Ghimire to the post of Speaker. He said that Ghimire is qualified enough for the post of Speaker.
Minister Lingden said that he knows the Speaker's candidate closely and urged everyone to vote to make him the Speaker.
