PARSA, Dec 24: A youth in Parsa district unable to come to terms with the repeated rejections by his love interest has stabbed her to serious injury.
Jaya Kishore Prasad Chaudhary of Bhatani at Parsagadhi Municipality-1 in the district stabbed 18-year-old Shakuntala Chaudhary, a local, after the latter refused marriage proposal by the former.

According to the District Police Office, Parsa's Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Man Bahadur Rai shared that the injured is receiving treatment at the National Medical College at Birgunj.
Both the alleged attacker and victim were studying in grade 11 in the Nepal National Higher Secondary School at Badhaniyar in the district.
DSP Rai informed Jaya Kishore attacked Shakuntala by a small knife in an act of revenge for refusing his marriage proposal. Police have arrested Jaya Kishore Prasad and investigation into the case was underway.
