NAWALAPARASI, Feb 4: A gold and silver trader Gajendra Bishwakarma, 62 of Bardaghat Municipality-4, has been shot at.


Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Resham Bohra, who is an Information Officer of District Police Office Nawalparasi West, said that an unidentified group shot at Bishwakarma at around 7 PM Saturday near Kukurmara in Bardaghat Municipality-16. This incident occurred as he was returning home after closing his shop in Susta Rural Municipality-1, Baruwa.

Bishwakarma, wounded in the arm by the gunshot, is currently undergoing treatment at the Universal College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital in Bhairahawa.


Police said that the search for the shooter is ongoing. Bishwakarma's scooter, with the license plate Lu 78 Pa 7435, was found four kilometers away from the incident site in Ward No-14.
