“It was raining heavily. The three of them were sleeping in a room. Without warning, landslides buried our house,” said Nawaraj, the house owner.

The landslide had occurred at around 5 am.

Following the death of the three, the village is living in fear after the incident. Many are afraid to stay inside their house as the incessant rainfall has led to landslides in many places. Over 15 houses in Andheri and 30 houses in the neighboring Tinghare are at risk, according to Ramesh Thapa, chief of the rural municipality.
