Govt announces 'Water from the Himalayas' program to brand mountain water

Kathmandu, May 29: The government has unveiled the 'Water from the Himalayas' program, aiming to brand the pristine water sourced from the majestic Himalayas. 


During the budget announcement for the fiscal year 2022/23, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat emphasized the facilitation of exporting mineral water and treated water from the mountains by establishing a recognizable brand for the mountain water.

Minister Mahat highlighted the immense potential of Nepal to earn foreign exchange through the export of this premium mountain water.


Govt announces a plan to manufacture vaccines within the country to control the epidemic of livestock. Necessary budget has been allocated to produce 66 million doses of such vaccines within the FY 2023/24.
