Govt-issued ID cards can be used for voting

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Voters will be allowed to vote in the upcoming elections after showing their identity cards issued by the Election Commission or other identity cards issued by other bodies of the government. Voting for the elections to the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies to be held on November 20 can be done using such identity cards.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has said that it is possible to vote by showing citizenship, passport, national identity card, land ownership certificate or any other identity card issued by a government body.
