Govt looks to receive Rs 5.84 billion loan from World Bank to improve health sector

KATHMANDU, June 5: The government is looking forward to receiving loans worth Rs 5.84 billion (US $ 50 million) from the World Bank (WB) to improve the country’s health sector.

After receiving the Cabinet’s nod in this regard, the Ministry of Finance has formed a six-member committee to hold talks with the multilateral donor organization. The panel will hold negotiations with the WB to finalize the interest rate and modality of payment, according to the ministry officials.
