KATHMANDU, May 29: The government is to implement the master plan for the development of Pashupati Area, the center of devotion of Hindus.
The budget presented for the upcoming fiscal year 2022/23 by Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat in the joint meeting of the federal parliament on Monday mentions that religious and cultural sites would be developed as religious tourism sites.
Fourth master plan of Pashupati area to be formulated
Old monasteries of more than 100 years would be preserved as well as monasteries of Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, Makwanpur, Dhading and other districts damaged by the earthquakes would be reconstructed.
Integrated archive would be prepared for protection of Guthi land, reads the budget.
