KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Government has decided to observe November 25 as the international day for eliminating violence against women.

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Government has decided to observe November 25 as the international day for eliminating violence against women. Speaking during the weekly press meet on Thursday, Minister of Communication, Information and Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota informed that the cabinet has decided to organize the events to mark the day.


With this decision, the government will observe the day officially. Previously, the 16-day campaign for eliminating violence against women from November 25 to December 10 was observed on the organizational level only.

Likewise, the government has decided to observe Social Security day on November 27. According to Minister Baskota, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the first social security day at Academy Hall.
