KATHMANDU, May 28: The government has announced plans to start liver transplantation at Patan Academy of Health Sciences in Lalitpur.

“Patan Mental Hospital will be made more equipped to facilitate treatment of people with mental illnesses, which is expected to minimize the suicidal cases,” said Finance Minister Barshaman Pun, announcing the budget for next fiscal year on Tuesday.   


The government has allocated more than Rs 86 billion for the health sector.
