BHAKTAPUR, April 27: The Board exam of grade XII is taking place from tomorrow across the country simultaneously. The exam is scheduled to start from 7:00 am.
Similarly, preparations for the Grade XI board exam will be beginning from May 12 and preparations towards that end have been completed, said National Examination Board’s controller of the examination Krishna Prasad Sharma.
A total of 428,052 students will be sitting for the grade 12 exam to conclude on May 9 while a total 508,494 students will be appearing in the final test of Grade 11 to conclude on May 21.
The total number of students for both exams is 936,564 ((regular; partial and for grade improvement) and 493,549 are girls and 442,000 are boys.
Grade 12 exams to be held from second week of September
The highest numbers of students in both exams are from Kathamandu district: 71,527 for class 11 and 62,588 for class 12.
The Board has managed 1,107 centers across the nation and the Kathmandu has the maximum 122 centres and Manag and Mustang has one centre each, Board member- secretary Durga Aryal.
Special arrangements have been made for those students with hearing deficiency, visual impairment or mental retardation or other sorts of disabilities.
Similarly, provisions are in place for those employees remaining in jail or child correction home.
The Board has put all the exam centers under the surveillance of CCTVS security system for the credibility of question papers.
Centre superintendents are not allowed to carry a mobile phone while transporting question papers from a room inside the police cordon to exam halls.
Besides, a system has been developed to receive the information about exam across the country. A total of 34,490 human resources have been mobilised for conducting the exam.
