Health institutes shutdown services in Baitadi

BAITADI, June 7: The health workers at the District Health Office, Baitadi are intensifying and expanding the scope of their protest.  The health workers on Monday shutdown health service demanding action against some miscreants that misbehaved with District Health Office, Baitadi Chief, Dr Gunraj Awasthi.

The health workers had halted service at the District Hospital on Monday but today shutdown services in all 68 health institutes in the district except the emergency service. They have warned of continuing their protest until their demands are met. 


Chief District Officer (CDO), Kishor Kumar Chaudhary, has assured of taking action against anyone found to be in violation of the law. He added that three persons were taken under control for misbehaving with the doctor with further investigation into the matter underway. He also pledged to take steps to resume health services in the district. RSS
