KATHMANDU, Sept 15: The monsoon low pressure line is currently located closer to the southern part of Nepal. In addition, Nepal is experiencing a partial effect of the low pressure system in the south of India (Eastern Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas), according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).
According to the DHM, there is partial change to general change in the weather across the country. A couple of places in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing light rain with thunderstorms.
Heavy rainfall likely in some provinces today
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Lumbini, Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces and few places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and one or two places of Madhesh Province. Also, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms at one or two places of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces.
Partial to moderate showers are expected across the country tonight. Similarly, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few hill areas of the country, including Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and one or two places in the remaining provinces.
