Heavy rainfall to continue for few more days

KATHMANDU, July 3: There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province today.


Furthermore, there are chances of very heavy rainfall at one or two places of Province 2 and Bagmati Province, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The weather today will remain generally to mostly cloudy in Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province, and partly to generally cloudy in Karnali Province and Sudur Paschim Province. Likewise, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places of Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province, and a few places of Karnali Province and Sudur Paschim Province.


Later tonight, the weather will remain mostly cloudy in Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province, and partly to generally cloudy in Karnali Province and Sudur Paschim Province. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places of Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province, and a few places of Karnali Province and Sudur Paschim Province, according to the Division.


There are chances of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province and very heavy rainfall at one or two places of Province 1, Province 2 and Gandaki Province. Kathmandu has been experiencing continuous rainfall since early morning today.


In the past 24 hours, an average 66 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the capital, with the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at 23.4 degree Celsius and 19.8 degree Celsisu, respectively. Simara recorded the highest rainfall of 153 mm followed by Biratnagar (107.5 mm) and Janakpur (96.3 mm), adds the division.
