Hollywood actor Jet Li in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Jan 22:  World famous Hollywood and Chinese actor Jet Li has come to Nepal. He came to Kathmandu a few days ago and is living in a Buddhist monastery.

KATHMANDU, Jan 22:  World famous Hollywood and Chinese actor Jet Li has come to Nepal. He came to Kathmandu a few days ago and is living in a Buddhist monastery.


According to sources, he came to Nepal to take Buddhist philosophy classes with Buddhist guru Choki Nima Rimpoche. Along with Jet Li, actress Manisha Koirala reached the monastery on Saturday.

Actor Jet Li participated in the Buddhist class taught by Rimpoche for two days at the Buddhist monastery. He arrived in Kathmandu with his daughter and some helpers. Earlier, Jet Li also came to Kathmandu to celebrate Christmas 2023.


He said that he considered coming to Nepal as a special opportunity in his life. Details about his arrival in Nepal this time have not been disclosed. Actor Lee is fond of Buddhist philosophy.


He is a Chinese film actor, producer, martial arts artist and retired Wushu champion. He made his acting debut with the 1982 Chinese film 'Shaolin Temple'.


The 2000 film 'Romeo Must Die' was his first Hollywood project. He co-starred with Jason Statham in 'The One' (2001) and 'War' (2007), Jackie Chan in 'The Forbidden Kingdom' (2008), Sylvester Stallone in all three 'The Expendables' films and acted as a villain in 'The Mummy: Tomb'
