MAKWANPUR, Feb 7: Homanath Chalise has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the Policy and Planning Commission of Bagmati Province.
A Cabinet meeting of Bagmati Province held on Tuesday morning decided to appoint Chalise as the vice-chairman of the commission.

A permanent resident of Bardiya, Chalise is an expert in population and aging. He has been teaching population at Tribhuvan University and is active in the field of study and research.
Chalise is also an expert member of the World Health Organization's Healthy Aging Centenary Program in Geneva. He is the vice president of the Population Association of Nepal and graduated from Tokyo University of Japan.
