Home-made liquor seized in Biratnagar

MORANG, September 12: Police have seized liquor that was produced and sold illegally in the local market in Biratnagar.

MORANG, September 12: Police have seized liquor that was produced and sold illegally in the local market in Biratnagar.


Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Shrestha, Spokesperson for the District Police Office, Morang, said the liquor and the raw material prepared for production of liquor  were seized based on a tip-off that homemade liquor was being sold illegally in Biratnagar-6.

As much as 120 liters of homemade liquor and 1,600 liters of raw materials, 32 vessels used to make liquor were seized from Shukraraj Rai's house. Police said that Rai along with the seized product has been handed over to the Inland Revenue Department, Biratnagar, for further inquiry.
