According to him, a joint team deployed from the District Police Office, Morang, and the Area Police Office Rani seized the marijuana after recovering it from a vacant land near the border area.

Stating that the marijuana dealer must have brought it near the border area and was about to take it to India, DSP Basnet said, “It is not clear who brought the marijuana and when. It seems the drug dealers left the place and fled when they came to know that the police had arrived just when they were preparing to take the illegal drug to India. An investigation is being conducted to find who brought it.”

Marijuana was found in six bags left in the vacant land. The police said that the marijuana was kept at the local police office Rani for the necessary investigation and the police are looking for those involved.
