Home Minister to visit quake-affected areas

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, a team of ministers and MPs is going to Jajarkot and Rukum West, two districts most affected by earthquake, to inquire about the rescue, relief and treatment conditions of the earthquake victims.

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, a team of ministers and MPs is going to Jajarkot and Rukum West, two districts most affected by earthquake, to inquire about the rescue, relief and treatment conditions of the earthquake victims.


The team will reach Surkhet via a Nepali army aircraft and visit the affected areas by helicopter and distribute 1,500 sleeping bags, 202 tarpaulins and 100 blankets as relief materials.

The team includes Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha, Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Prakash Jwala, Health Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet, Energy Minister Shakti Basnet, Member of Parliament and Deputy General  Secretary of the ruling Maoist Center, Janardan Sharma, among others.
