KATHMANDU, Oct 26: The Ministry of Home Affairs has requested all house owners in Kathmandu Valley to not allow undocumented foreigners to stay in their homes.
It has asked all concerned house owners to not rent apartments to those who do not have official identity cards or other documents. This comes amid reports that Afghan refugees have started illegally arriving in Nepal to seek refuge following Taliban takeover in Afghanistan.

Issuing a press release on Monday, the ministry said that foreign nationals have attempted to enter Nepal illegally by hiding their identity. The ministry has urged them to report to the nearest police station if such a person is found in their locality.
The statement added that all concerned should not rent out house, apartment, flat and rooms to those who are not able to disclose their proper identity cards or other documents.
