KATHMANDU, Sept 20: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has passed the Appropriation Bill, 2021. The bill proposed by the Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma was endorsed by the HoR meeting held on Monday amid obstructions posed by the CPN-UML.
The members of parliament representing the main opposition party, CPN-UML tried to obstruct the meeting as soon as the Speaker Agni Sapkota commenced the proceedings of the parliament meeting. The UML lawmakers surrounded the rostrum and chanted strong slogans against Speaker Sapkota.
National Assembly passes Appropriation Bill, 2021
Finance Minister Sharma said that the budget has been prepared keeping in view the national interest and the aspirations of people.
The Appropriation Bill passed by the HoR will now be forwarded to the National Assembly. The bill will come into force after it is passed by the National Assembly. After the bill comes into force, the budget holiday will come to an end.
