House session put off until March 10

KATHMANDU, March 7: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been put off until March 10 after lawmakers belonging to the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samabadi Party (JSP) started protesting demanding withdrawal of the controversial ordinance on the Constitutional Council (CC).

KATHMANDU, March 7: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been put off until March 10 after lawmakers belonging to the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samabadi Party (JSP) started protesting demanding withdrawal of the controversial ordinance on the Constitutional Council (CC).


Earlier, the lawmakers close to the Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) had walked out of parliament as the House meeting was underway.

The meeting of parliament is scheduled for 1PM on Wednesday.
