BUTWAL, March 12: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that he presented a 19-page political report in an apparent bid to revolt against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Dahal, while addressing a program organized by his party in Butwal on Friday, shared that the report was prepared and tabled to neutralize the wrong attitude of Oli, who was once the co-chairman of the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
On the occasion, Dahal claimed that Oli hatched a conspiracy to overthrow the hard-gained democratic republican system and nullify the power generated through the Maoist movement.

“I wrote the 19-page document when I realised that it was high time that we revolted against the KP Oli attitude and his plotting against republicanism,” said he, adding that he felt like being freed from ‘the game plotted by Oli’.
Presenting the reference of Mao Tsetung, Dahal said that he bombarded the bourgeois headquarters of Oli following the popular statement of ‘Bombard the headquarters’ by Mao during the Cultural Revolution.
Dahal, in collaboration with erstwhile NCP senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, had presented the 19-page political document at the party’s nine-member Secretariat in November last year accusing Oli of failing in his responsibilities. He had also urged the latter to make sacrifices and accept his mistakes to keep party unity, constitution and the federal democratic republican set-up intact.
However, the intraparty row in the party worsened in the course of time. The party suffered a vertical split as Oli unconstitutionally dissolved the House of Representatives (HoR) on December 20 last year.
The party, however, was scrapped through the March 7 verdict of the Supreme Court (SC) as its name clashed with Rishi Kattel’s party. The court also revived the two parties --- Nepal Communist Party (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center)-- who had earlier gone for a merger to the NCP on May 17, 2018.
