I swear the medical supplies I distributed were not foreign grant: Minister Ale

KATHMANDU, May 25: Minister for Forest and Environment, Prem Bahadur Ale has clarified that the 75 oxygen cylinders that he provided to the District Hospital, Doti, were not a foreign grant.

KATHMANDU, May 25: Minister for Forest and Environment, Prem Bahadur Ale has clarified that the 75 oxygen cylinders that he provided to the District Hospital, Doti, were not a foreign grant.


“Of the 75 oxygen cylinders, 15 were provided by the Department of Health Service and I bought the rest,” Ale said amid an Oxygen Cylinder Distribution Program at Seti Provincial Hospital.

“Publishing misleading news while people are dying due to the lack of medical oxygen is not right in itself. If possible, publish factual and true news, if not let’s not publicize wrong news,” he added.


Stating that he had also provided four oxygen concentrators on his own investment, Ale maintained that he is not a trader but serves the citizens.


Earlier, Minister Ale had provided six oxygen cylinders, 150,000 masks to the District Hospital of Doti on his own investment. Likewise, he also provided 50 oxygen cylinders filled with oxygen to Seti Provincial Hospital and 50,000 face masks.
