KATHMANDU, July 22: Srijana Shakya Tamang, the wife of former chairman of Civil Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited and Member of Parliament Ichchha Raj Tamang, has been sent to jail.
After the custodial debate in the court till Thursday night, Judge Kripasur Karki ordered the imprisonment of Shakya, stating that she was involved in hiding billions of rupees defrauded from the cooperative.

Shakya, who is also a member of the audit committee of the cooperative, was arrested from Ram Shah path last Tuesday afternoon.
