KATHMANDU, July 20: Srijana Sakya Tamang, the wife of former chairman of Civil Saving and Credit Cooperative Society, Ichchharaj Tamang, has been arrested in connection with a fraud case.
Srijana was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police from Kathmandu on Tuesday.

There are 12 defendants including Srijana in the fraud case of more than Rs 5 billion in Civil Cooperative. According to the police, She was arrested for absconding in the same crime.
The court has ordered that Tamang and Keshav Lal Shrestha should be sent to prison for pre-trial detention after 1,530 savers filed a complaint alleging that they had been cheated by the cooperative.
