LAHAN, Dec 14: A pressure cooker bomb has gone off at Sahid Chowk of Lahan in Siraha district on Thursday.
Locals ran in panic after they heard a huge sound of explosion. However, no casualties have been reported so far, said police.
According to Police Inspector Jugeshwar Raut of Area Police Office, Lahan, the pressure cooker bomb concealed inside a jute sack went off at Sahid Chowk along the East-west Highway.

The IED was brought on a cycle.
The IED exploded immediately after the unidentified gang left the spot leaving the cycle behind.
Sahid Chowk, where the explosion took place, is right under the nose of the place where a joint command of Armed Police Force and Nepal Police are stationed. The security personnel had run helter-skelter following the explosion.
Police have recovered a flyer singed by Jayakrishna Goit from the explosion site.
