KATHMANDU, June 29: Following the easing of prohibitory orders by the district administration offices in the Kathmandu Valley, public buses have begun to operate from Tuesday.

With the decline in the number of new cases of COVID-19, the government decided to allow public vehicles with more than 25 seats capacity to resume their services.

The public transports in the Valley have resumed their services almost after a hiatus of two months due to the prohibitory orders enforced to stem the further spread of COVID-19.

A meeting of the chief district officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts decided to allow public vehicles to operate from 6AM to 7PM.

Even if the government has allowed public vehicles to resume their services, only few vehicles are plying the roads on Tuesday.
