KATHMANDU, August 8: A deluge of heavy rainfall swept through the Kathmandu Valley, leading to widespread flooding in rivers and streams on Tuesday.
The persistent downpours that began on Monday have resulted in inundation across multiple regions. Particularly affected areas include Samakhusi, Buspark Bishnumati, and various other localities.

The water levels in key rivers such as Bishnumati, Bagmati, and Dhobikhola have surged considerably due to the ongoing heavy rainfall. The overnight downpour in the valley has caused rivers and streams to breach their banks, causing substantial water logging.
Local shopkeepers were observed actively draining water from their establishments, which had been swamped by the intense rain of the previous night.
