Indian actor and director Satish Kaushik passes away

KATHMANDU, March 9: Indian actor and director Satish Kaushik has passed away at the age of 66.

KATHMANDU, March 9: Indian actor and director Satish Kaushik has passed away at the age of 66.


According to the Indian media, Actor Anupam Kher confirmed the death of his friend through a tweet. Kher tweeted, “Sudden end to 45-year friendship. Life will not be the same without you.”

According to a report of PTI, Kher stated that Kaushik felt uneasy and he told the driver to take him to the hospital and on the way he suffered a heart attack around 1am.


Kaushik was visiting a friend’s house in Delhi's Gurugram. He was taken to Fortis Hospital in Delhi. Indian media reported that he died at the hospital.


Kaushik entered the film industry in the early 1980s. His famous movies are ‘Mr India’, ‘Deewana Mastana’. Kaushik directed popular films like ‘Hum Apke Dil Mein Rehete Hain’, ‘Tere Naam’. Kaushik is survived by his wife and a daughter.
