KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday morning as he is returning Delhi completing his tenure here in Nepal.
According to PM's secretariat, PM Dahal thanked Ambassador Rae for maintaining effective and balanced diplomacy during his stay in Nepal. PM also expressed his belief that the Nepal-India relation will be stronger in future.
PM praised Rae for his efforts in implementing development projects initiated in India's support.
Indian, Chinese ambassadors call on PM
According to PM's secretariat, Ambassador Rae thanked the Government of Nepal and Nepali people for the positive support he received during his tenure. Rae's tenure is concluding on Tuesday.
Chinese Ambassador calls on PM
Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong paid a courtesy call on PM Dahal on Tuesday morning.
According to the PM secretariat, Dahal and Yu discussed about the local level elections and the infrastructures development in Nepal. During the meeting, PM said that the agreements between the two countries regarding connectivity, infrastructures development are gaining effective momentum and expressed his hope for further assistance from China.
According to the secretariat, the PM told Chinese ambassador that the government has been working on implementing the constitution and has announced local level elections for it. He urged for positive support from China in the entire process. The PM also said that the development programs under China's "One Belt, One Road" initiatives will move forward soon in Nepal.
During the meeting, Ambassador Yu said that the Nepal has been moving in positive direction in implementing constitution and said that China will always support Nepal in infrastructures development.
