Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to host photography contest

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation on Monday announced to organize a photography contest titled ‘Maitri Through My Lens’.

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation on Monday announced to organize a photography contest titled ‘Maitri Through My Lens’.


The content is being organized to enhance multi-faceted relationship between India and Nepal through the language of photography, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of India.


Contestants may focus on themes that capture the common threads of bonhomie in the field of arts, architecture, dance, education, religion, festivals and celebrations etc, according to the press release. They may also focus on socio-economic development and iconic projects which capture partnership of both the countries towards economic prosperity, the embassy stated.

One should be a Nepali national to take part in the photography contest. The embassy has asked to send email at [email protected]  by September 30, 2020, to those who are interested to take part in the photography contest.
