Legendary Indian poet/screenwriter Javed Akhtar and popular Indian actress Shabana Azmi is all set to visit Nepal for the eighth edition of annual literature festival ‘IME Literature Festival’. The event is scheduled for December 13 to 16 in the picturesque city of Pokhara.
According to a press statement issued by Bookworm Foundation, the festival has already received confirmation from a few renowned international writers and celebrated personalities including Indian Lok Shabha MP and globally renowned writer Shashi Tharoor, Indian poet, and screenwriter Javed Akhtar and popular Indian actress Shabana Azmi.

The press statement further stated the festival has partnered with the prestigious DSC Prize for South Asian Literature to host the announcement of its winner at the festival. The prize carries the purse of around $ 25,000 dollars as per the press statement.
DSC Prize for South Asian Literature aims at showcasing and rewarding the best writing about the South Asian region.
Meanwhile, the foundation has also announced the dates for the Janakpur edition of the ‘IME Nepal Literature Festival’ which is scheduled for November 3 and 4.
