KATHMANDU, Nov 2: Dhading District Court imprisoned Police Inspector Apurba Dhungana on Tuesday after completing the investigation into an attempt to rape charge against him.
The court ordered Inspector Apurba Dhungana, who was arrested on the charge of attempting to rape a female police constable, to be remanded into custody.

Inspector Dhungana of Khanikhola Area Police Office, Dhading, who was accused of attempting to rape a policewoman, was sent to prison on Tuesday by the court.
Based on the police complaint of the victim, the District Police Office, Dhading arrested him on October 1 and kept him in judicial custody for investigation. It is mentioned in the victim's complaint that after drinking alcohol, he entered the women's barracks in the middle of the night and tried to rape her.
The public prosecutor's office filed a case against the inspector at the court on Monday. After the case was registered, the court sent him to jail.
