KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Ira Rawat of Nepal and Indian player Arnabh Pathange have won girls and boys singles titles respectively in the ANLTA Asian Junior Tour U-14 Ranking Tennis Tournament under circuit two on Friday. They are also the winner of the circuit one that concluded last Friday.
In the final match held at the tennis court Satdobato, Ira defeated another Nepali player Abhilasha Bista in straight sets of 6-1, 6-1. Other two Nepali players Prerana Koirala and Saloni Tamang claimed third and fourth places respectively in the girls sections.

Laxanya Bishwanath of India remained at the fifth position while Alsha Regmi, Isha Shree Shah, Sneha Yadav, Rayana Shah and Priyanka Chaudhary of Nepal wrapped up the tournament finishing in the fifth to tenth position respectively.
In the final of boy's singles, Arnabh of India overcame Nepali opponent Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya in the straight sets of 6-1, 6-1. Other two Nepali players Aadit Subedi and Aryan Giri claimed third and fourth positions respectively in the same section. Indian participant Shrikant Thakur remained at the fifth while Shaharsha Chand, Ibhek Joshi and Grijesh Man Shrestha of Nepal wrapped up the tournament remaining at the sixth, seventh and eighth places respectively. Indian duo Shashi Kant Thakur and Ambitious Goldsmith remained at the ninth and tenth position respectively.
Earlier, the pair of Indian players Arnabh and Ambitious had won the title of boy's doubles while the title of girl's singles went to the comprising pair of Nepali and Indian players of Prerana and Laxanya.
Altogether 32 players-16 girls, 16 boys-from Nepal and India participated in the singles and doubles sections under the circuit two in the tournament organized by the All Nepal Lawn Tennis Tournament.
This was the first international lawn tennis tournament held in Nepal.
