Israel ready to work with Nepali farmers

Kathmandu, May 1: The Israeli envoy stated that his country is ready to work with Nepali farmers. 


Israel's Ambassador, Benny Omer has stated that his country is ready to cooperate with Nepali farmers on beekeeping as well as fruit and vegetable production which remain the staple products in Israel.

Ambassador Omer further spoke of his government's policy of 'Learn and Earn', and a desire to establish a profession-based training center in Nepal. 


Ambassador Omer on Tuesday called on CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at latter's residence in Khumaltar. 


On the occasion, Dahal said Israel's progress seen in the agro sector remained exemplary for Nepal's stride towards economic prosperity. 


"Nepal's economic prosperity is possible only through agriculture-based industrial growth and Israel's technology will be very crucial for us," Dahal said. He also expressed Nepal's desire on forging technical coordination with Israel for agro-based industrial growth. 


"The progress made by Israel in the agro sector remains a motivation for us," Dahal insisted. Ambassador Omer reciprocated by apprising Dahal of Israel's readiness in lending support for the development of Nepal's agro sector.
