Ja Mana Gubhaju nominated for eight categories in NIFF

Federation of Indigenous Peoples of Nepal in America (FIPNA), USA is going to organize two days Nepal Indigenous Film Festival (NIFF) along with NIFF Award on the occasion of 27th World Indigenous People's Day.

The film festival will screen seven Nepali indigenous films, which were selected among 16 participating films. The selected films for the festival are  Ja Mana Gubhaju, Mi Nhorbai Ta, Prangna, Tang Chalak, K, Sayabung and Metoak; produced in indigenous languages Nepal Bhasa, Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Limbu, Rai and Hyalmo, respectively.


Meanwhile, the movie Ja Mana Gubhaju has been nominated for Best film, Best actor, Best screen play, Best director, Best cinematographer, Best costume, Best sound and Best story.


According to the organizers, the responsibility for the selection of the film has been given to the ethnic organization of the respective languages. The selected films for the festival were collected through the office of Federation of Indigenous Nationalities Film.


The festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
