Jagdish Baidya, owner of Pashupati Ashram, held on rape charge

KATHMANDU, July 5: Police arrested Jagdish Baidya, the owner of Pashupati Ashram (inn) on the charge of rape on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, July 5: Police arrested Jagdish Baidya, the owner of Pashupati Ashram (inn) on the charge of rape on Sunday.


A team of police from the Metropolitan Police Range (MPR), Jawalakhel, detained Baidya, according to spokesperson for the MPR, Tul Bahadur Karki.

"The rape-accused has been kept in custody at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati, because the rape case against him was filed there," Karki said.


The Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, will carry out further investigation into the case, Karki added.
