JANAKPURDHAM, Feb 9: Janamat Party Chairman Dr CK Raut has warned of creating obstructions in the local level elections if the demands of the farmers are not met. Talking to media personnel at Birgunj on Wednesday, Chairman Raut said that although the party cannot obstruct the local level elections all across the country, the party will obstruct the elections in Terai-Madhesh, Jhapa, Kailali, and Kanchanpur.
Stating that the Janamat Party is not against elections, CK Raut said that the government should at least meet the demands raised by the protesting farmers before going for elections.

“There is nothing new about the upcoming elections anyway. The same three or four faces. No matter who wins the elections, the agenda remains the same as well, which is why we want the present government to resolve the matters at hand,” he said. He also said that the next farmers' protest has been scheduled for February 13.
