Japanese Ambassador Kikuta pays courtesy call on Foreign Minister Rana

KATHMANDU, July 22: Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, met with Dr Arzu Rana, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, at Singha Durbar on Monday.

KATHMANDU, July 22: Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, met with Dr Arzu Rana, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, at Singha Durbar on Monday.


During the meeting, Ambassador Kikuta delivered congratulatory letters from Japanese officials, including Japan’s Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko and  Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to Dr Rana and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral relations, with an emphasis on economic cooperation, investment, and people-to-people exchanges. Ambassador Kikuta highlighted the significance of 2026, marking Nepal's graduation from the Least Developed Country status and the 70th anniversary of Japan-Nepal diplomatic relations. 


Both parties agreed to collaborate closely to strengthen their friendly ties in anticipation of these milestones.
