Throughout October 20 to October 26, the festival will see musical performances taking place in different venues around Kathmandu.
Jazzmandu was initiated in 2002 by Candenza Collective’s Navin Chettri and Chhedup Bomzon of The Jazz Upstairs Bar. Since then the festival has grown into a platform to promote jazz music in Nepal and as an initiative to spread the message of global peace, the organizers have said. And this year’s Jazzmandu has the motto of “Music for Unity, Peace and Compassion”.
