JNU awards Deuba with honorary doctorate

Kathmandu, Nov 6:  The Jawaharlal Nehru University of New Delhi, India has awarded Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, with honorary doctorate  degree.

Kathmandu, Nov 6:  The Jawaharlal Nehru University of New Delhi, India has awarded Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, with honorary doctorate  degree.

At a special programme organised at the University on Sunday, Vice-Chancellor of the  University, Prof Jagadesh Kumar, conferred the title on NC President Deuba, said NC Party  Office Secretary, Prem KC. 


Deuba is the first Nepali person to be honoured with the title. Nobel Prize winner, Aung San  Suu Kyi of Myanmar and former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam were awarded with this  title. Issuing a press release, NC thanked the Nehru University for this honour. RSS
