KATHMANDU, June 22: A joint meeting of National Assembly and House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament on Friday endorsed 'Joint Meeting of Federal Parliament and Joint Committee (Work Operation) Regulation, 2075'.

The Regulation was proposed by chair of the rule drafting committee of HoR Krishna Bhakta Pokharel.

Responding to queries raised on the regulation draft during the clause-wise discussion earlier, Pokharel stated that there was a provision of quorum in the regulation learning from the past experiences.

The Joint Committee will guarantee inclusiveness and participation of women, he said, in response to demands made by lawmaker Puspa Bhusal and Bimala BK that the Committee should be made inclusive and it should guarantee 33 percent women's participation.

Likewise, lawmaker Prem Suwal suggested that quorum for the Committee should be three-fourths instead of 51 percent to make the Committee participatory.
