Journalist Rauniyar to be honored

KATHMANDU, July 27: 'National Education Journalism Prize-2075' is to be presented to Nagarik Daily Journalist Ruby Rauniyar.


The prize carries a purse of Rs. 51,000 and a letter of citation. It is presented jointly by the Federation of Nepali Journalists, and the Ministry of Education.

Likewise, the State-level category of the prize was also announced, according to a statement issued by the FNJ on Friday. The winners of the 'State Education Journalism Prize-2075' are Sujan Timsena (Ilam) from State no. 1, Santosh Singh (Janakpur) from 2, Sarita Shrestha (Dhading) from 3, Kamal Khatri (Myagdi) from Gandaki State, Prem Narayan Acharya (Arghakhanchi) from 5, Govinda KC (Dailekh) from Karnali, Mohan Bista (Kanchanpur) from SudurPaschim State and Laxmi Poudel (Kathmandu) from the Valley.


It carries a purse of Rs. 20,000 each. The State level journalism encouragement prize was also announced with two journalists each from the seven States and two from Kathmandu valley.


Furthermore, the institutional awards worth Rs. 20,000 each in FM station category and institutional award in online and Television category have also been declared. The prizes will be presented at a function to be held in Kathmandu on July 30, according to the FNJ statement.
