JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav has participated in a General Assembly only once in his political career. Since its establishment, his party has been facing unity and division time and time again. If two parties merge and a new party is formed, the merged party has a legal obligation to hold a convention for 5 years. Less than 5 years after the formation of the party, Yadav merged with another party and announced a new party.
With this announcement, the deadline for holding the convention is pushed for another five years. As a result, Yadav did not have to hold the convention, but now, he is gearing up for the convention for the second time.
