Kakori unveils Kerala Food Festival

The festival is slated to continue till March 24 and welcomes all food lovers to taste the authentic flavors of Kerala.

Kerala Food Festival is being organized at Kakori, Soaltee Crowne Plaza Kathmandu to celebrate the flavorsome Kerala cuisine.


The event was inaugurated on Monday by Ambassador of India to Nepal, Majeev Singh Puri.  The special guest Chef from India, Rejimon PS along with Executive Chef, Yubaraj Pokharel have carefully crafted the menu and will be leading the culinary team to create scrumptious Kerala style dishes.

As mentioned in the press statement issued by Indian Embassy to Nepal on Monday, The chefs will be introducing a variety of mouth-watering dishes like Koon Ada, Kappa Chemmeen cutlet, Attin Noolappam soup, Seafood Savala roast, Kozhi Olan, Kaya Konjukizhi, Malliyila Manga Choru and many more.  The cuisine boasts the use of coconut cream and milk for thickening and flavoring while spices are used to temper the flavor of the dishes. The menu has fine selections of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes with varieties of seafood, mutton, chicken curries and gravies.


To add to the gastronomic journey an array of desserts awaits like the Tenga Jaddu traditional coconut dusted sweet dumplings, Palada Payasam rice flakes cooked with cardamom and sweetened milk are both delightful to the taste buds. 


The festival is slated to continue till March 24 and welcomes all food lovers to taste the authentic flavors of Kerala.
