KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Air pollution level in the Kathmandu Valley deteriorated on Monday as compared to the previous day.
The highest PM 2.5 reading (242.78 µg/m3 ) was recorded between 11 AM and 12 PM which is higher than that of 145.72 µg/m3 measured on Sunday.

The lowest reading (94.67 µg/m3 ) was recorded in the afternoon between 4 and 5.
The quality of air in the country’s most densely-populated city, however, has been measured far higher than that of the standard of 25 µg/m3 set by WHO and 40 µg/m3 by the Government of Nepal.
