The Valley’s COVID-19 caseload reaches 23,960 as death toll stands at 140

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), a total of 697 people in Kathmandu, 93 in Bhaktapur and 112 in Lalitpur were diagnosed with the COVID-19. With this, the number of people infected with the novel coronavirus in the Valley has reached 23,960.
The MoHP also recorded three cases of fatality linked with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday. A 54-year-old man, 34-year-old and 86-year-old woman from Kathmandu district succumbed to COVID-19. A total of 140 people have died of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley as of Wednesday afternoon.
The three districts in the Kathmandu Valley – Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur – are among the districts with the highest numbers of COVID-19 cases in Nepal in recent weeks.
