Kathmandu Valley witnesses 15 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, July 29: Kathmandu Valley has reported 15 new cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, July 29: Kathmandu Valley has reported 15 new cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


During a regular virtual media briefing of the ministry, spokesperson Dr Jageshwar Gautam said that 14 cases were diagnosed in Kathmandu district alone. Bhaktapur district reported one case, respectively, in the past 24 hours.

With a large number of people entering the Valley and officials collecting swab samples at the major entry points, Kathmandu has witnessed a sharp increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19 in recent days
