KATHMANDU, Feb 13: Kedar Bahadur Adhikari, secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Aviation has assumed the office of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) as its executive chairman.
Speaking at a meeting on Wednesday, Adhikari said that the NAC has to be taken forward with an upgraded functioning mechanism. As the tourism and aviation industry across the world has become competitive, the NAC also needs to enhance its capacity and services to become competitive in the market, he said. He also added that he has realized the need to bring about changes in the management of the national flag carrier.
The position had remained vacant for a month after Madan Kharel resigned from the post on January 19.
